London City goes 'silent' this month
No more tannoy annoucements at airport under new scheme
Source: London City Airport
Commencing 18 August, passengers departing from London City Airport will experience a silent terminal with no tannoy announcements made throughout the departure lounge.
The move follows extensive research carried out at London City Airport where satisfaction levels have continued to increase with passengers describing the airport as ‘having a relaxed environment’.
The new policy will mean no flight and gate announcements will be made, instead all information will be displayed on information screens that are located throughout the lounge and restaurants.
London City Airport recently extended its departure lounge to accommodate more seating, retail outlets, a sports lounge and the new Bar Ten 28.
