Easyjet to open more routes from Geneva

Low-cost carrier will fly to Manchester and Stockholm from October

Source: Geneva International Airport

easyJet is selling tickets for the 2008-2009 winter season beginning in October. This new season will see the inclusion among the easyJet destinations of two new European cities, Manchester and Stockholm – which will supplement the extensive existing offer of 28 connections.

Although easyJet already had ample connections between Geneva and southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Morocco), Scandinavia remained virgin territory for the Company; with the introduction of five flights per week (on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) to Stockholm's main airport Arlanda, easyJet is setting its sights on a promising market.

easyJet is also expanding its UK service from Geneva by introducing a daily flight to Manchester. These flights will supplement the Liverpool service that is already being operated.

Finally, as in every year, easyJet will be making various adjustments to its winter flight schedule: some summer destinations (Olbia and Cagliari, Naples, Split, Ajaccio, Ibiza) will disappear while the frequency of other connections will be increased. In view of their popularity, the frequency of the flights to Porto, for example, will increase from once to twice daily.
