General information

The climate in Sharjah is mostly hot and dry, with year-round sunshine.

Daytime temperatures in the summer months (June to September) rarely fall below 40ºC, and only cool off slightly in the evenings, which makes it inadvisable to spend too much time outside. Although there's never any rain, the summer skies in Sharjah can often be hazy from the heat and humidity.

In winter the temperatures can fall as low as 10ºC, although rainfall in the city is pretty rare and you’ll still be treated to blue skies and the occasional cloud throughout the colder season.

Between November and April is the most pleasant time to visit, when daytime temperatures still permit a trip to the beach or a walk along the Buhairah Corniche without incurring massive perspiration.

If you are in Sharjah during the warmer parts of the year, then always wear a hat, drink plenty of water and stock up on the suntan lotion.
