Staying in the airport
If you have more than five hours between your connecting flights in Kuwait airport, then we recommend leaving the terminal and doing some sightseeing. For ideas, go to our Exploring the City section, although you’ll need to make sure that you qualify for a Visa on arrival in Kuwait.
If you don’t qualify for a visa, and would rather not have the hassle of leaving the airport between flights, then read our Inside the Airport section, which is aimed at travellers staying on the airside of Kuwait airport.
Your options are limited, but if you’re an economy passenger, then you should definitely consider paying KD 9 ($32) to use the Dasman Lounge, located on the mezzanine level inside the departures level of Kuwait airport. This allows you full access to the lounge for up to six hours, including drinks, food, the business centre, showers and comfy sofas. It’s well worth the money, as there are few other options to keep you entertained or comfortable on a longer wait.
