Staying in the airport

If you have between three and five hours to wait in Kuwait airport between your flights, and don’t want to leave the terminal on your layover, then we suggest reading our Inside the Airport section, where you’ll find full details of lounges, shopping, dining and other facilities inside the airport.

Some suggestions include:

  • If you’re flying economy, it’s definitely worth paying a fee to use one of Kuwait’s airline lounges for a few hours. In return for KD9 ($32), you can use the Pearl Lounge for up to six hours, including food and drinks, a business centre with internet terminals, comfy sofas and even some massage chairs. Read our Lounges page for more.
  • Transit passengers going through Kuwait should get a coupon to use at the transit restaurant, which can be found on the top floor of the terminal. See our Eating and Drinking page for more.
  • The Airport Mall is attached to the main terminal at Kuwait airport. It’s worth taking a look even if you have just three or fours to wait, as it doesn’t involve actually leaving the airport. You will, however, need to get a visa on arrival – read our Visas page to see if your nationality qualifies for this.
