If you're on a stopover of between 8 hours and 24 hours with Qatar Airways, then you are no longer entitled to a free hotel night in Doha and will either have to book a stopover package with Qatar Airways or arrange your own accommodation.
Hotels in Doha range from luxury five-star properties, many of which are cropping up in the fast-growing West Bay area, to more decrepit properties in the older parts of the city.
Some of the major brands in the city include the Sheraton, Ramada, Intercontinental and Ritz-Carlton. Room prices are generally high, as the city cannot build quickly enough to cope with the intense demand.
