Arriving and departing
The main terminal is small and easy to navigate, with the entrance hall and check-in area located on one floor.
- Before check-in you’ll find a couple of small cafes and a Qatar Airways ticket office.
- There is a Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) travel bureau before going through security. Open 24 hours, it organises flights, hotels, insurance and car rental for worldwide locations.
- Within the check-in area there are ATMs and a currency exchange counter – just in case you need to pay for excess luggage charges.
- The airport has introduced an e-gate service, which allows holders of electronic cards issued by the Qatari government who can skip passport control queues. For more details, go to www.e.gov.qa
Premium Terminal
If you’re flying First or Business Class on Qatar Airways, then you need to check in at the rather swanky Premium Terminal at Doha airport.
The terminal is located a short walk away from the main terminal, and offers a complimentary meet-and-greet service, porters and seated check-in desks for departing passengers. The Premium Terminal has its own e-gate service too.
